The apartment is owned by the actress Mary-Kate Olsen, The New York Times reported. Ledger was declared dead at about 3 30 p.m., Browne said. In 2005, the actor played Ennis Del Mar in "Brokeback Mountain," about two cowboys who had a secret relationship. The role earned him the Oscar nomination. Ledger was born in Perth, Australia. He has a young daughter with actress Michelle Williams, his co-star in "Brokeback Mountain." "He was just so respected in the industry," said Kim Serafin, senior editor of In Touch Weekly. "Its just horribly tragic. He was just a fine actor and a good person, so this is horribly sad and very unexpected." Ledger was always focused on his career, Serafin said. As a follow up to last years blockbuster Batman Begins, Christopher Nolan is set to direct Warner Bros. Pictures The Dark Knight, written by Jonathan Nolan, based on a story by Christopher Nolan and David Goyer. The film will be produced by Emma Thomas, Charles Roven and Christopher Nolan. Additionally, Christian Bale will resume his role as Bruce Wayne and Academy Award nominee Heath Ledger has been cast as The Joker. The announcements were made today by Jeff Robinov, President of Production, Warner Bros. Pictures. Christopher Nolan revamped the Batman franchise in 2005 with the immensely successful Batman Begins, starring Christian Bale in the title role, which chronicled the early years of the superhero. Nolan first garnered attention from critics and fans in 2000 with the groundbreaking drama Memento, which he wrote and directed. He went on to direct the thriller Insomnia, starring Al Pacino and Robin Williams, and recently wrapped production on The Prestige, with Hugh Jackman and Bale. Bale was most recently seen in the ensemble cast of Terrence Malicks The New World. His other credits include Little Women, Portrait of a Lady, Metroland, American Psycho, Laurel Canyon and Steven Spielbergs Empire of the Sun, which was his first starring role. Please Read To set the record straight about the last line in the spoof, it is not at all related about Heath Ledger, that never even crossed our minds until it was mentioned in the comments, we just thought the line was funny and could be related to heros in superhero movies. We would not make fun of a man who created the coolest and scariest villain to hit the movie screen in years. Give Heath Ledger the Oscar!! The trailer took a couple months of planning, finding locations and time to make the costumes, it took 3 weeks to film/edit the movie. We made this video just for fun because we are all very very excited about the real Dark Knight Movie and couldnt wait any longer to see it so we decided to make our own. There are real shots of Chicago in here, but all main scenes where filmed in the suburbs around the city. The deck of cards is a "Hooters" pack, so there is no nudity on them lol the blurry video makes it seem that way though and the music is all from the "Batman Begins" soundtrack For everyone wondering about the joker costume...we made the entire thing from scratch, alot of looking for the right colored fabrics and finding patterns that matched his clothing...it took a while to make, and the dress shirt we made a stencil of hexagons and drew them in. The boss gave Byte19 from Chicago this film and told him to share it with the rest of you goons. Now IamTheBat1138 and Byte19 proudly present "The Dork Knight." Note The film was a 35mm workprint in anamorphic and was projected off of an old 35 projector which can handle anamorphic lenses. However the distance between the lens and the screen is not intended for such a wide format causing the image to not fit perfectly on the screen, but this was the quickest solution to get this video to everyone else FOR NOW. Hopefully within the next day or so we should be projecting again in a better setting and will have an ideal source to record from (including good stereo audio). So for now, enjoy.

This is the now-infamous "Star Wars" commercial that I made for my campaign for Rockingham County Board of Education in 2006. It wound up being featured in The New York Times, on the Fox News Channel, every major newspaper in the state, on National Public Radio, the Canadian Broadcasting Company, by the Heritage Foundation, and it was screened at the Pixelodeon Independent Video Festival at the American Film Institute in Los Angeles in June of 2007. Its been shown on VH1s show "Web Junk 2.0", on E! Entertainment Televisions show "The Soup", and it was also proclaimed the "Best campaign commercial ever" by George Lucass Edutopia website! And yes this (along with two more commercials) DID broadcast on local television - on WGSR Star 39 in Reidsville, North Carolina - during the month leading up to the 2006 election. I did not win a seat. But I came in 8th place out of 16 candidates with 4,648 votes... which is a LOT, all things considered.
