My CD //-ronaldjenkees/music-store These are really two songs in 1 but they evolved in the same FL Studio project (2 different days). Thats how it goes sometimes - might have to make it into two different beats since theyre so different. They keyboard Im using here is the Yamaha Motif XS8, which is the weighted-key version of the XS series (Im finding Im not a fan of weighted keys for most stuff besides piano). Im still alive! [twas a triumph, great success...] I recorded this about a month ago - sorry, no video. I only had a microphone on me, and Im still trying to find a video camera for recording. This improv turned out a bit more harmonious than I expected, so here you are. Its primarily an experiment; there are "mistakes," if you see misplaced harmonies and very intentional accidentals as such. When I improvise, I tend to imagine a scene, like for a film, then fit the music to the mood of the scene. Here I was imagining a storm, so hence the title. No sheet music! And now for something completely different. As much Ive always enjoyed jazz, I never got around to learning any. Besides plowing through books and tutorials about jazz theory, tritone blues, boogie woogie basses, and the various scale degrees and their functions (dorian, phrygian, mixolydian, etc)... I just never got a taste. After re-watching The Legend of 1900 (an AMAZING MOVIE, btw), I sat down and played a bit. Heres the collection of mashed chords and notes, endearingly entitled "Faux Jazz." So if you become a dance major at ASU you will have to take Robert Kaplans class, Rhythmic Theory. In his class towards the end of the semester you make up movement that is rhythmically pretty intense. Then for a final project you take bits of that and put it into an improv. Ciao a tutti!! Questo è il mio primo video su Youtube.. Si tratta di unimprovvisazione per tastiera che comprende esercizi per il riscaldamento e lindipendenza delle mani secondo gli insegnamenti del divino Rudess (0.00-1.26), improvvisazione personale (1.27-4.12), un piccolo giro di accordi tratto da una canzone di Rick Wakeman (altro maestro di vita.. -)..) e gli ultimissimi accordi di Octavarium, dei Dream Theater, dallalbum omonimo del 2005 (4.13-5.16).. Strumentazione tutti i suoni vengono prodotti dal modulo sonoro Davide (Roland U-110) e passati alla Angela (Casio MZ 2000) via cavi MIDI... Chiedo umilmente perdono per la qualità video e audio... Provvederò al più presto a caricare un nuovo video.. Scusate anche per i frequenti errori.. Quel giorno avevo un sacco di cose da fare e ho registrato tutto in 20 minuti.. Spero che comunque vi piaccia.. Mi racc.. Commentate pleaseeee!!!! XD!!!
