02/26/08 Update Wow. What was expected to be a short movie that would circulate within a small circle of friends has turned into something much more very quickly. Im thrilled that so many people have enjoyed this video but also somewhat mortified that I added this without my daughters knowledge or consent. Maybe someday she will find some humor in it. She explained the whole movie to me in much greater detail but unfortunately I didnt have the camera going. When I finally caught her talking about the movie again she delivered this truncated, but still funny, version. Edit Thank you all for the nice comments. Maybe I will print them out for her and someday and when shes all growed up shell get to read them herself. A little more about the video She wasnt coached to say anything, nor was she forced to make the video. She rarely stops talking. Those of you with children understand this sometimes its harder to turn the faucet off than to turn the faucet on. Believe it or not, she has the seem the movie only once, and I spread it out over 3 days so it wouldnt be too much all at once for her. The video was edited to make it shorter, more cohesive and hopefully funnier. I did move some of the lines around so it would make more sense.

Were assaulted every day, says one man, Mexico as a country can not guarantee our security. In Sinaloa, life is a daily roll call of decapitations, torturing and shootings of gangsters and innocents alike. A hysterical young man just witnessed the shooting of his sister point blank in the head. The next day, assassins on motorbikes executed two men in broad daylight. There are witnesses, but theyre too scared to talk. Its common belief that corrupt police are involved in the drugs trade and the kidnappings "drug traffickers dont need to buy a minister to carry on his activities. They only have to buy the chief of police". While this report was in the making, a federal police officer at one point a member of the Anti-Kidnap team was arrested over the kidnapping and murder of a 14-year-old boy. It seems Mexicos president has a hard battle ahead of him. Last year American Congress gave him US$400 million to help fight the drug cartels but this amount is nothing compared to the money laundering from drug activity.

The 90-minute premiere episode of the CGI animated series Star Wars The Clone Wars will have a limited release in U.S. cinemas starting August 15th. Not only will this be the first 3-D animated movie for the highly-successful saga, but this will also be the first Star Wars movie not released through Twentieth Century Fox. Fox released all six Star Wars movies, plus the original microseries The Clone Wars on home video. But Warner Bros. and Turner Broadcasting will release Star Wars The Clone Wars this time. The principle reason is that Turners and W.B.s subsidiary, The Cartoon Network, managed to snag the rights to the series from creator George Lucas. Roger Ebert has said that for some people, movie history begins with Star Wars. George Lucas has said that sound is "half of the picture". The sounds from the Star Wars series sit between those two quotes. Ben Burtt became the worlds most influential sound designer by creating the sounds for the Star Wars series. This list was created by factoring how famous or influential a given sound is, and also considering the sound from a sound designers point of view. For example, the Darth Vader sounds are simple to create, yet the voice from James Earl Jones became one of the most influential sounds of the series. Compare that to the voice of Poggle the Lesser, which is not as famous, but a masterpiece of cutting and pasting phonetic sounds together.

Megadeth - Holy Wars..The Punishement Due "Holy Wars... The Punishment Due" is the opening track of Thrash metal band Megadeths 1990 album Rust in Peace. The song has an unusual structure, shifting at 2 26 after an acoustic bridge by Marty Friedman to a different, slower and heavier section called "The Punishment Due", and returns towards the end back to "Holy Wars", after a solo played by Dave Mustaine. The entire song is generally referred to as simply "Holy Wars". The lyrical theme of "Holy Wars" deals with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. In an interview with the UK magazine Guitarist, Mustaine says that he was inspired to write the song in Ireland, when he discovered bootlegged Megadeth T-shirts were on sale and was dissuaded from taking action to have them removed on the basis that they were part of fund raising activities for "The Cause" (i.e. the Northern Ireland conflict). Dave also recently stated at a gig at Rock City (Nottingham, U.K. 18/02/2008) that it was at this venue that he wrote Holy Wars, after they travelled there from Ireland in a bullet proof bus. In the fields of a typical coca campesino, protected by guerrilla units, growers process their haul. Evidence of government fumigation of illicit crops which, in turn, encourages farmers to double their cultivation. The result is massive deforestation. Indigenous Indians have little hope in the escalating feud ravaging Colombia.
