Por otro lado, también podemos observar en el Muelle decenas de pescadores y aficionados a la pesca tratando de pescar algo. Muchas de estas personas realizan esta actividad de manera indiscriminada sin respetar el ciclo de vida de las especies que abundan en nuestro mar como el Suco, Tramboyo, Chalaco, Liza, el Pejerrey, la Viña, entre otros, de ahí que nace la idea de realizar el I Concurso de Pesca Artesanal , que tiene como principal objetivo sensibilizar a la población en temas relacionados a la conservación de nuestros recursos marinos, reconociendo al mar como una valiosa fuente de vida. Actualmente, se adquiere el pescado de menores tallas que el permitido, porque se oferta a un precio menor en el mercado, lo que a su vez permite que continúe la depredación de estas especies por parte de los pescadores, siendo necesario frenar este abuso y contribuir a proteger el futuro de las poblaciones de peces y otras especies, que son la base de la seguridad alimentaria en el país. Para garantizar una pesca compatible con el medio ambiente hay que tener en cuenta no sólo las cantidades de peces capturados, sino también sus especies y tamaños y, por supuesto, las técnicas de captura utilizadas y las zonas en las que se ejerce la pesca.

The Expo organiser, Anthony Doran says there are over 200 exhibitions - from a car that runs on air to a wash ball that washes clothes without soap. [Anthony Doran, Expo Organiser] I think that 88 per cent of all Australians believe the environment is our single largest issue, that we have to deal with but I suppose what we are trying to do with the show is getting that consciousness into action by showing people great products and ideas that they can actually introduce to help us reduce our environmental impacts. Theres plenty of advice on how to be green clean For instance, how to make an existing home or factory sustainable; the use of non toxic paints and its clean disposal; and the recycling of wastewater to preserve our oceans. Look at this electric motor bike, no petrol costs! And here would you believe, is a car with an engine that runs only on air! [Angelo Di Pietro, Engineair Director] The technology we have would allow us to take the weight off the car because we eliminate such things as the clutch, the gear box, the differential, the radiator, water pump, oil pump, oil. You can move that car with just one finger. What about this? A laundry ball to wash your clothes! No soap or washing powder is required! Marietjie Lacomme says the Biowashball also saves water as no rinsing is needed. [Marietjie Lacomme, Biowashball Consultant] It consists of ceramics which releases negative ions. Negative ions are very good for the human being and also for the earth. It is a natural anti oxidant and also works against anti ageing. I finally decided to stop being lazy and made a slideshow of the pix I took at Anime Expo 2008 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, California. It was alot of fun and tons of really good cosplays. Mine this year was The Laughing Man as well as an avi for gaiaonline using a paperbag head. Looking forward to next year. I had to shorten this video by taking off a few pictures and shaving off alil bit of the songs used for throughout the video. Anime Expo 2007. Part 4. Day 2. B-Day Awesomeness! Day 2, Its pdflos b-day and he spends some time in the show room floor. This is probably my favorite episode thus far. AX was held at the Long Beach Convention center this year. Directed, Produced, Edited and Starring Pedro D. Flores. -myspace/pdflo Camera Johnny Rodriguez, Danny Jauregui. Shot on a Canon Xl2 and Panasonic DVX 1000s. Post-production was done using Adobe Production Suite CS3. Part 5 is pretty much done, should be uploaded by the weekend.
